As crappy as 2020 has been, it has been a productive year for me on the model horse front. I managed to create and sell three Breyer model horse customs, ready-to-paint, as a Breyerfest sales offering. I also customized three other models all the way through the painting stage. Here's hoping I can squeeze out a few more before the year is up! Above is a Breyer stablemate Django that I slightly customized to have a straighter topline and a thicker girth/belly. I like my Friesians Baroque. ![]() Next up is something rare for me: a simple repaint AND a leopard appaloosa. Special thanks to Stephanie Blaylock for providing pointers and reference photos of her own gelding for this little girl. Perhaps my favorite though is my newest Arabian filly, drastically resculpted from the Breyer stablemate G1 standing Thoroughbred foal. That's right folks, she's not a traditional. She was also my first time painting a baby black foal, and came out well enough that I was able to record a tutorial from her. ![]() And finally, the three Breyerfest sales horses, a resculpted Breyer stablemate G1 Arabian stallion (left), a rehaird Rivet (middle), and a resculpted Django who came with two mane options.
